The Role

To develop all aspects of aviation flight operations policy for the UK in accordance with our Values and Behaviours (Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, Clarity, Learning and Drive).

 

Collaborate internally and externally to inform, initiate, support and/or contribute to policy reviews and development by providing unbiased specialist knowledge on either a broad range within one or more domains or deep and complex subject matter on a particular area of expertise.

 

Recommend an appropriate course of action based on knowledge, experience and research.

 

Produce concise, unambiguous discussion papers for presentation at various bodies within the CAA and Industry.

 

Ensure policies are relevant, proportionate, in accordance with the Better Regulation Principles, and in line with national and international regulations.

 

The role may require some international travel.

 

 

About You

You’ll need to have specialist subject matter experience including:

  • extensive knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (EASA and ICAO)
  • experience of rotary operations / worldwide air operations (fixed wing)
  • long-haul operational experience would be an advantage (fixed wing)
  • hold or have held an ATPL, preferably with long-haul experience
  • experience of international committees (desirable)
  • applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK
