Operational Excellence Coach

Salary: £500 per day dependent on experience

Contract Type: 6 Month Casual Contract

Security Level: BPSS

Base: Gatwick Office with frequent attendance required

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Operational Excellence Coach to lead on improvement work within a team who are part of the Shared Service Centre at the Civil Aviation Authority. The role will be required to review, analyse, develop and implement an improvement plan to achieve productivity increase within a six-month time period where the engagement will be predominately focused on daily workload management and productivity improvements. Specifically, additional focus is needed on enhancing the current information and reporting data currently available to drive productivity and introduce improved ways of tracking activity.

You will work with the Shared Service Centre Leadership & Management team to define, create and deliver a plan.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven experience as a hands-on operational excellence coach, holding a Lean Six Sigma certification, with exceptional communication and engagement skills to build rapport, engage with and inspire the team.

Experience of working in a TPS (Toyota Production System) environment or similar would be beneficial.

Additional Information

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
