Do you have a background in CRM development and customisation preferably on Dynamics 365? Are you looking for a new role where you can develop your knowledge of Dynamics and MS Azure suite to come up with great solutions?


The Role


Our Dynamics 365 CRM system is a key strategic platform in our business and the CAA is seeking an additional Developer to join the team to develop enhancements and new solutions on the system.


This is an exciting time for this programme as having completed the migration to D365 from CRM 2013 earlier this year, we are now expanding our use of the platform to support more of our business processes and customer facing applications using the latest products and components from the dynamics suite.


You will be joining a team that supports the current production platform for live system issues alongside working on new enhancements and work packages that involve a mixture of bespoke customised development, workflow and configuration.  The ratio of support work to new work is typically 1 day per week on incidents and 4 days a week on new development.


The team utilise an Agile delivery process working in sprints that make up regular heartbeat deliveries that deploy new functionality every 6 weeks or so. You will be joining an existing team of two developers and report to the Scrum leader for that team.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Development and 3rd line support of custom Dynamics CRM solutions using Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement,
  • Customisation of D365 module components such as Portal, Marketing, PSA, Resource Manager, D365 Sales and Standard D365 Power apps.
  • D365 Case Management product areas Business Process Flows, power automate, custom plug-ins and workflow activities.
  • Coding and debugging in C# for plug in and custom development


About You


You will have a background in CRM development and customisation preferably on Dynamics 365 (or at least CRM 2013 or above) with an ability to configure and utilise in-built functionality on the system and develop custom plugin code in C#.


Essential Skills


  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Development and delivery of Dynamics 365 (minimum CRM 2013)
  • CRM customisation using JavaScript
  • CRM extension through C# .Net development
  • Capable of dealing directly with business users; working alongside testers to ensure that CAA software quality standards are met.
  • Ability to determine and suggest most appropriate way to deliver requirements using the combination of features, code and tools in D365 and associated applications
  • Knowledge of the D365 product suite and a thirst to maintain that knowledge


Desirable Skills


  • Experience of DevOps, Agile and the concepts of CI/CD
  • Familiarity with ITIL concepts
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure hosting services
  • Web service development
  • Knowledge and experience with D365 latest product offerings

Additional Information


In terms of location, the team is quite disparate working across both Cardiff and Gatwick locations but largely making use of Microsoft teams to work collaboratively very effectively.

You will need to be within commutable distance to one of these locations to be able to participate in workshops or team events. Some flexible home working available.


Given the impact of Covid-19, it’s likely that you will work remotely to begin with as we plan for a return to work within the government guidelines.
