We have an exciting opportunity for a Developer to join our growing Software Engineering department. If you have experience of form building using Avoka or Adobe and familiar with web services, then our Developer role could be exactly what you’re looking for!

 

The Role

 

As a Developer you will be joining the Software Engineering function who provide a development team department across one or several key strategic platforms and technologies in support of CAA business objectives. The Developer will be expected to provide support for and to deliver continuous improvement in those areas. The role holder will be an integral part of forming and shaping the electronic forms delivery strategy at the Civil Aviation Authority.

 

The Developer will develop innovative forms solutions across multiple platforms including Avoka and Adobe for the CAA and will work closely alongside testers and business analysts to ensure that CAA software quality standards are met.

 

Core responsibilities:

 

  • Participation in all aspects of the software lifecycle from requirements gathering, through development to release and support of Electronic Forms
  • Works collaboratively with the test team.
  • Contribute to the CI/CD process

 

About You

 

  • Some understanding of DevOps, Agile and the concepts of CI/CD
  • Analyse business process documents, design electronic forms, develop, and test automated workflows.
  • Create technical documentation of forms including process, code, design, and fields.
  • Creating reports into form data and journey progress.
  • Experience developing form applications on one or more platforms such as Avoka, Adobe or others.
  • Experience with web services and prefill of forms
  • Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience integrating forms with an electronic document management system or enterprise content management system
  • Experience in Front End Accessibility standards and practices
  • Experience of UX Design and Journey management
  • Experience in JavaScript and any other front-end languages

Given the impact of Covid-19, it’s likely that you will work remotely to begin with as we plan for a return to work within the government guidelines.

 

This role is based in our Gatwick offices however there is scope for regular working from home subject to business needs.
